BP has evacuated foreign staff from its Rumaila oil operation in Iraq. This decision was made after two unidentified drones landed inside the Rumaila oilfield. The company declined to comment specifically on the evacuation report but stated it is taking all necessary steps to ensure personnel safety, continuously assessing the situation, and communicating directly with affected staff.

Widespread Operational Impact

The security deterioration has caused broader operational disruptions across the region. Earlier in the week, operations were suspended at several sites, including facilities in Iraqi Kurdistan. Other companies, such as Norway's DNO which operates in Iraqi Kurdistan, have also declined to comment on the situation when approached.
