Appointment of New Board Chair

Genel Energy has announced the appointment of Patrick Allman-Ward as an independent non-executive director and chair of its board, effective 9 February. He is currently the chair of Australian mining company Terra Mining.

Professional Background and Expertise

Allman-Ward brings over 40 years of upstream industry experience. His career includes a 30-year tenure at Shell and a period as chief executive of Dana Gas from 2013 to 2024. Both Genel and Dana Gas have assets in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
