Oceanica Engenharia has secured new contracts and contract extensions with Petrobras for six offshore support vessels, totaling $736 million. These long-term agreements, signed between December 2025 and February 2026, have significantly increased the company's order backlog to approximately 12 billion reais ($2.3 billion).

Contract Details and Vessel Assignments

The new awards cover two categories of vessels for subsea services offshore Brazil. For the shallow diving support vessel (SDSV) segment, Petrobras renewed the contracts for four existing vessels: Oceanicasub IV, Oceanicasub V, Oceanicasub VII, and Oceanicasub IX. Additionally, a fifth SDSV, the Oceanicasub VI, has been newly contracted and will join Petrobras's fleet. In the remotely operated vehicle support vessel (RSV) segment, the contract for the Oceanicasub VIII vessel was extended.

Contract Terms and Operational Timeline

Each of the six vessel contracts has a duration of four years. Operations for all vessels under these new agreements are scheduled to commence in the first half of 2027.
