SLB has secured two five-year contracts from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for wellhead and artificial lift services within Oman's Block 6, the country's largest oil and gas concession. The financial value of the deals was not disclosed.

Scope of Work and Technology

The contracts encompass the provision of various wellhead systems, including low-pressure, high-pressure, and thermal wellheads. For artificial lift, the work involves supplying electric submersible pumps and progressive cavity pumps.

Local Manufacturing and Assembly

SLB will manufacture the wellheads at its Rusayl production centre and assemble the electric submersible pumps at its Nizwa centre in Oman.

Projected Benefits

According to SLB, the application of this technology is expected to enhance recovery rates and prolong the production life of the assets in the Block 6 concession.
