Baker Hughes Secures Subsea Equipment Contract for Azule Energy's Greater PAJ Project

Baker Hughes has confirmed a significant contract award for Azule Energy's Greater PAJ deepwater project offshore Angola, following the project's sanction earlier this week. The project will develop the Palas, Astraea, and Juno (PAJ) discoveries in Block 31, along with the Urano and Dione finds in Block 31/21.

Scope of Supply and Services

The contract covers the supply of horizontal tree systems, subsea control modules, and intervention workover control systems. Additionally, Baker Hughes will provide associated connection, distribution, and topsides equipment. The company will also deliver integrated tooling and services to support installation, commissioning, and ongoing production performance from its facilities in Angola.

Delivery Timeline

Delivery of the subsea trees is expected to commence in 2027. This award follows similar confirmations from Saipem, TechnipFMC, and CIMC Raffles for subsea kit and floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel orders related to the same project.
