Chevron Leadership Changes

Chevron announced several upcoming executive transitions. Jake Spiering, currently investor relations director, will assume the role of corporate business development president on 1 August. The current president, Frank Mount, will retire in November 2026. Jeanine Wai is set to succeed Spiering as investor relations director, effective 1 April 2026. Additionally, supply and trading president Patricia Leigh will retire in July. Separately, Thomas W. Horton, a partner at Global Infrastructure Partners, joined Chevron's board as an independent director and was appointed to the board audit committee.

Other Corporate Appointments and Retirements

A series of leadership changes occurred across the global energy sector. Roger Tucker stepped down as CEO of Africa-focused Meren Energy with immediate effect and was replaced by Oliver Quinn, the former chief commercial and operating officer. At Baker Hughes, John Bowman started as general counsel for industrial power generation and climate technology solutions. In the contracting sector, EnerMech appointed Vasant Saith as senior vice president of its Infrastructure & Industrial Solutions global business line, and Algihaz Marine Contractors appointed Douglas Korth as chief operating officer. Modular solutions provider Armoda appointed Brandon Arceneaux as corporate sales manager.

Board and Governance Updates

Multiple organizations announced new board members and directors. Thailand's PTTEP elected Bandhit Thamprajamchit as a director. Pennpetro Energy appointed Sergiy Lesyk as an independent non-executive director. Renewable natural gas specialist Waga Energy appointed three new directors: Luc Remont as chairman, Neil H Smith, and Mai de La Rochefordiere, along with a new observer, Vikram Dhawan. At Ørsted, Arul Gynasegaran replaced Leticia Mandiola as the employee-elected board member.

Association and Regulatory Roles

Key appointments were made within industry associations and regulatory bodies. The Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) promoted Dan Naatz to executive vice president and chief policy officer. The Consumer Energy Alliance named Jeff Ostermayer as senior vice president of public affairs and communications. Amy Miller joined the executive council of the Geoscience Energy Society of Great Britain (GESGB) as communications director. In Indonesia, Armein Hazet started a new position as head of department at the upstream regulator SKK Migas.
