DOF Subsea has been awarded a significant turn-key contract by Modec for mooring pre-lay services on the Hammerhead project offshore Guyana.

Project and Client Details

The contract is for the Hammerhead field, operated by ExxonMobil within the Stabroek block. The client, Modec, is constructing a mid-sized floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for this field. The FPSO is designed with a processing capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil per day and 90 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, with production start-up targeted for 2029.

Scope of Work and Execution

DOF Subsea's North American team will deliver a comprehensive package of services for the mooring pre-lay. This includes in-house project management, engineering, procurement, and logistics. The offshore installation will utilize two of the company's vessels: the Skandi Implementer for pile installation and the Skandi Skansen for the mooring lines. The offshore execution phase is scheduled for mid-2027.
