Morton held an MSc in applied geophysics and worked for various sub-surface contractors before joining Panoro. He was described as instrumental in guiding the company's technical and operational direction for over 15 years, playing a key role in building Pan Petroleum prior to its 2010 merger with Panoro. He was a pillar of strength as the company navigated numerous challenges.
