Collaboration Agreement Between Reach Subsea and Beacon Offshore

Norwegian subsea company Reach Subsea has signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Thailand-based Beacon Offshore to pursue subsea projects in Australia. The agreement aims to scale Reach Subsea’s operations in the region through exclusive collaboration in tendering and executing subsea projects.

Strategic Benefits and Capabilities

Reach Subsea CEO Jostein Alendal stated that combining engineering and technology capabilities with high-quality vessel capacity positions the companies to pursue a broader range of opportunities in subsea, survey, and monitoring. Under the agreement, Beacon will provide Reach with access to two DP2 dynamically positioned vessels—GO Explorer and GO Supporter—for regional operations. Both vessels have valid Australian Safety Cases, enabling immediate deployment in the market.

Previous Australian Operations

Reach Subsea has prior experience offshore Australia, listing Australian independent Woodside Energy as a client in its 2026 first quarter report. The contractor conducted reservoir monitoring on the Woodside-operated Scarborough gas field offshore Western Australia as part of its inspection, maintenance, and repair business expansion in the country. Reach deployed its Reach Remote 2 uncrewed surface vessel for this work in August of the previous year.
