Entering Reservoir Production History

Production/injection data can be specified both for the tank as a whole and by wells. The description below covers adding operation history at tank level. Adding wells and entering well operation data is described in section 9.2.

To enter tank production/injection history, perform the following actions.

1.Go to the "Operation history" tab and fill in the following parameters:

  • weighted average reservoir pressure;
  • oil production;
  • water production;
  • gas production;
  • gas injection;
  • water injection;
  • pressure matching weight;
  • relative permeability matching weight;
  • Unproductive water/gas injection fraction (when the unproductive injection input method is by steps).

2.The number of history steps is created automatically based on tank settings — the interval (for example, 1 month) and the number of intervals.

3.Oil, gas, and water production and gas/water injection are entered for the specified period. Some history fields can be left empty or set to zeros, for example if there is no weighted average reservoir pressure for one of the periods.

4.The matching weight is 1 by default. You can set any weight for any point — the larger the value, the greater the point weight in matching.

5.You can enter values manually from the keyboard, using the spinner in the cell, or by pasting from the clipboard from previously prepared tables. To do this, select the required value range in the prepared table, copy it, then select the first cell of the range where the copied values should be pasted and click Entering Reservoir Production History icon, illustration 1. The values will appear in the history table.
