nv.AIM PVT Home Page
The nv.AIM PVT module home page consists of two areas — the model tree and the model workspace.
The model tree contains the following controls:
Hide/show model tree
Used to enlarge the workspace for working with models;
Create new model
Used to create new models in the project;
Clone selected model
The button is inactive by default; to clone a model, select the model in the tree. This function is used to create, configure, and run calculations on a model when changes cannot or should not be made to the original model;
Delete selected model
The button is inactive by default; to delete a model, select the model in the tree;
Rename selected model
The button is inactive by default; to rename a model, select the model in the tree.
The model tree displays models of different types — "Black oil correlations", "Black oil tables", and "Compositional". For convenience, models are grouped by type.
By default, the model list is collapsed. The
button expands the model list.
Clicking the
button to the left of the fluid model name expands the list of regions in that model.
The following controls are available for each model:
Load model
Clicking it loads the model so that you can view all model properties and parameters. Model editing is not available;
Enter edit mode
Clicking it opens access to edit models. If the fluid model is already connected to another model (a well model, an integrated model, and so on), after you click the button the system notifies you of this and asks for confirmation;
Exit edit mode
Available only in edit mode.
In edit mode, the row with the model displays the login of the user who is currently editing. While a model is being edited, other users can open the model only in read-only mode and cannot run calculations or make any changes to the model.
Exiting edit mode is accompanied by a pop-up window that contains the following options:
Save – all model changes are saved.
Don't save – changes are not saved, the model remains in the state it had before editing.
Cancel – exit from edit mode is not performed.
If a fluid model of the "Black Oil correlations" type is open for editing, buttons for working with regions are displayed to the right of the fluid model name:
create new region (
); clone region (
); delete region (
); rename region (
).
