Included scripts

The Python API allows scripts to run one another. This is done with included scripts.

Included scripts are added on the toolbar in the script editor. Whenever a script is run (call it the main script), all of its included scripts run first. When an included script finishes, all items from its global namespace are added to the global namespace of the main script. Because of this, included scripts can be used to create custom libraries of functions and classes.

Important
If included scripts have their own included scripts, those nested scripts are not run when the main script starts. This behavior prevents recursive execution of included scripts and also prevents the same scripts from running more than once.
